The job description of a high school administrator encompasses a myriad of responsibilities and activities.

As the Assistant Principal of James I. O’Neill High School, I help the Principal coordinate, direct, and plan the academic and extra-curricular activities of the school. I work with teachers, counselors, staff and students on a daily basis to maintain a positive school climate; one that is conducive to learning and growing. I attend local meetings and educational seminars to gather information to help meet the needs of our students. I make decisions, resolve conflicts, and try to solve problems for students and staff.

I do all this and more while maintaining a sense of humor and keeping an open mind.

Being a member of the high school English department for the past 12 years, I’ve had the advantage of knowing the communities, the faculty and staff, and most importantly, the students. James I. O’Neill High School is a terrific place in which to work and a terrific school in which to learn. Thank you for entrusting us with your children.

Please feel free to contact me with your questions, concerns and suggestions. I can be reached at 845-446-4914 or rhaberman@hffmcsd.org. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Robin Haberman
Assistant Principal
