Transfer Students
Students who are planning to transfer to O’Neill should call the Guidance Office (845-446-4914, ext. 2) for an appointment to meet with a counselor. You may download the registration and records release forms below, and complete those ahead of time. The counselors are generally available through the middle of July and then return in mid-August. |

Students
must meet minimum testing requirements established by the New York
State Education Department
in order to graduate. Students must take
Regents (i.e., State) exams in five areas: English, U.S. History,
Global History,
Math, and Science. Acceptable minimum scores vary and are based on
the
year in which a student enters 9th grade. Students with TESTING
MODIFICATIONS may also take the RCT’s (Regents Competency Tests,
which are minimum competency tests). TRANSFER STUDENTS: Students who
transfer to O’Neill for their senior year may be exempted from
the testing requirement in Global Studies and Science. Students who transfer
to O’Neill
as juniors may be exempted from the testing requirement in Global
Studies.
