JCORPS is a program designed to educate students in the surrounding middle schools about what JROTC cadets learn in their four years of high school. Through simple lessons, these students learn the importance of good values and morals that they will carry with them through high school and beyond. JCORPS cadets learn things such as orienteering, winning colors, stationary drill, and flag detail. Although these things seem specific to JROTC, they ultimately teach lessons that students will relate to their lives and those around them. That being said, after a year of JCORPS students are more prepared for high school, college, and the workforce.
