• Chromebooks

    HFFMCSD has insured all school-issued chromebooks given to students. Insurance will protect the device against an assortment of damages. This insurance policy will provide full replacement cost coverage. This policy is also transferable to a replacement unit. 

    The following is covered:

    • Electrical surges
    • Black screen
    • Malfunction of the computer 
    • Liquid spills

    The following is not covered: 

    • Lost or stolen products
    • Intentional damage resulting from mishandling/rough handling of the device
    • Excessive damage, including but not limited to cracked casing, a broken camera, etc.
    • Tampering with any aspect of the operation of the device (hardware/software)
    • Loss of data 

    If the insurance company determines that the damage exceeds coverage as listed above, the student/family will be responsible for paying for a new replacement device. 

    A damaged device should be turned in to the main office of the school. If a student loses a charger, a replacement can be purchased from the main office of the school.
