Q - Given the fact that the Governor now has the ability to reduce school aid at least twice during the coming year, wouldn't it be wise to freeze spending? Or do we have a rainy day fund to draw upon mid year?
A - The District has put together a plan to reduce spending in the event that a mid-year reduction in state aid occurs. We are hopeful that this does not occur, but in the event that it does, our goal will be to minimize the direct impact on our students and our academic program. We recognize that these are challenging times and continue to work to balance our need to provide a strong academic program that is fiscally responsible to our taxpayers.
