Feel free to browse the various links for different resources to help both students and parents this year!
Note - With the incorporation of Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks for all students, the best resource is now Google Classroom. All students have access to our Google Classroom, and email invites were sent out to parents in October. If you did not receive an online invitation, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access.
Parents and students, have you signed up for Remind yet?
Remind is a free service that you can sign up for that will allow you to receive text messages and/or emails reminding you of important due dates. It is a one-way system, and all personal information remains confidential. Teachers will never see your phone number, nor will you ever see theirs. You can learn more at remind.com .
To sign up, send a text message to 81010. In the message of the text message, choose the code for whichever class you would like reminders for.
7th Grade: @chagoya7
8th Grade: @chagoya8
For example, if you were in 7th grade Spanish, you would send the message @chagoya7 to 81010.
Note to all students and parents: It is important for students to spend at least 10 minutes a day looking over any Spanish notes. There are always quizzes or tests for all material, so even if a quiz has not yet been announced, students should be preparing by studying daily. This way, by the time a quiz or test comes around, the students should already know most of the material fairly well, and they won't stress about "cramming" their studying in the night before.
Also, at this point, students should have a Spanish-English dictionary to keep at home. They will use this often throughout the year to help with homework. Online translating sites are not acceptable.
