Guidance: Mid-Year Reports to Colleges

Attention Seniors!

Being that marking period grades are published on February 1st, mid-year averages won’t be made available until the week of February 3rd . Colleges may require and/or have already started to request your first semester grades. Please note, it is the student's responsibility to notify their college of this timeline.

We satisfy this requirement by sending an updated transcript that includes your mid-year averages for full-year courses and final averages for fall semester courses. Your seventh-semester cumulative grade point average and class rank will also be included.

In the space provided below, list the colleges to which you have already applied that require your first semester grades. Check the box next to any schools for which you used the Common Application. If there are any other forms that need to be filled out, other than the Common Application Mid-year Report form, be sure to get them to your counselor.

Please submit this form to the Guidance Office by Friday, January 31st.

If you have any questions, email your school counselor.

Join the PTSC

Reminder to ALL parents, we welcome your participation in the PTSC, by giving as much or as little time as you have to support our amazing students and school! At a minimum, your membership dues help us to support important club and school events, teachers, students, and this scholarship. Once a member, you will receive “Raider News” emails with important reminders weekly/monthly, get information & ask questions on our members only James I. O’Neill Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/jioptsc/), and feel great about supporting all of the wonderful things we do in partnership with the school. Join @ www.jioptsc.org

The 2024-2025 PTSC Scholarship Application is now available!

Each year the JIO PTSC awards students whose parents are members the opportunity to apply for a scholarship. The PTSC does not participate in the Common Application. We have our own scholarship application process that we feel fits our diverse membership. The JIO PTSC Scholarship is neither merit nor needs based, but rather a combination of several characteristics. The James I. O’Neill PTSC Scholarship is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in a number of categories to include academics, community service, leadership, drive, and the ability to articulate themselves in a way that reflects the rigor of a high school senior. Last year the PTSC was able to award $9,750.00 in scholarships to graduating seniors. We invite you to apply at www.jioptsc.org
