Yearbook Club

Yearbook meets every Tuesday in room 325, after Expanded Day. Bring your creativity and school spirit to make this the best yearbook ever! Any questions see Mrs. McNair (library) or Ms. Smith (Art).

Chess Club

Come join the Chess Club. Experienced players and people wanting to learn are welcome. We will meet on Tuesdays at 2:30 PM in room 208. Hope to see you there!

Zen Den

Come Zen Out on Wednesdays, in Mrs. Viano's room (220). There will be a comfy mat and pillow waiting for you and you will leave feeling rejuvenated.

Art Club 

Would you like to work on a special art project? Paint a wall mural? Would you like to work more in a medium you have always enjoyed? Come to the Art Club! Meetings are on Thursdays in Room 161, 2:30-3:15. See Ms. Smith (Art) in Room 161 for more information.

Dungeons & Dragons

Boys Varsity Lacrosse Skill Building Sessions

Attention Athletes! 

Join Google Classroom code: e7c6zxf to sign up for the sessions. 

Our sessions are designed to develop lacrosse skills for all experience levels. Sessions take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays on the upper field at O'Neill HS. 

Our drills have minimal contact so only helmets, sticks and gloves are needed.

Guidance - College Acceptances


Please remember to forward a copy of your college acceptances to the guidance office. You are welcome to forward them digitally to Ms. Henricksen, our guidance secretary, or print out a hard copy and hand it in. Additionally, you need to update your application outcomes in your Naviance Student account.

Follow these steps below to do so:

1. Select Colleges and then select Colleges I'm Applying To.

2. Choose Edit for the college to update.

3. Update the details in the Results section.

4. Click Update Applications.

Email your School Counselor with any questions and be sure to continue to update this information as you receive acceptances.

James I. O’Neill PTSC Membership Reminder to be Eligible for the Outstanding Merit Scholarship Award 2023. Seniors may apply for this annual scholarship in 2024, but in order to be eligible, the student’s parent must be active members of the PTSC, including membership by 1 DEC 2023. Last year the PTSC gave out $10,000 in scholarships to 9 graduating seniors. To become a member, join here: 

If your family cannot afford membership this year, the PTSC will make you a full member, just email O'Neill PTSC, and we will confidentially make you a full member so that your student can be eligible.

Reminder to ALL Parents, we welcome your participation in the PTSC, by giving as much or as little time as you have to support our amazing students and school! At a minimum, your membership dues help us to support important club and school events, teachers, students, and this scholarship. Once a member, you will receive “Raider News” emails with important reminders, get information & ask questions on our members only James I. O’Neill Facebook group (, and feel great about supporting all of the wonderful things we do in partnership with the school.

Reading Buddies Club Brick Fundraiser:

Are you looking to honor your grad? Would you like to leave a legacy for your student or club? Purchase a brick for the James I. O’Neill Student Walkway. This fundraiser, run by the O’Neill Reading Buddies Club, will use the money collected to grow our program and build a scholarship fund. Our club will use the money to purchase books, craft materials, and other needed supplies to create an enhanced literary experience for Big and Little Buddies alike. We also look forward to raising funds for author visits, trips, and other enriching endeavors. In addition, funds will be used to build a college/post-secondary scholarship fund. Click on Hi Guest in the upper right corner and create an account. Follow the directions to purchase a book. The books are $75.00 each and now include the World Yearbook pamphlet! You have the option (by 1/15/24) to order a one-line name stamp for an additional $5.00. There are also options for an autograph supplement and a clear plastic dust jacket. You can also purchase a "Spirit Bundle" which includes a yearbook and all 3 options (name stamp, autograph supplement, and dust jacket) for $90.00.
